The Turkish Center for Asia Pacific Studies (APAC) as a member of the global Think Tank community joined the social media campaign #ThinkTanksReact led by the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI) to show its react to the coronavirus pandemic.

APAC participated to the “ASEAN Flag Hoisting Ceremony” organized by the Embassy of the Philippines in Ankara on August 28, 2020. The Embassies of Southeast Asian countries in Ankara also participated to the event.

APAC Director Prof. Selçuk Çolakoğlu participated to a public lecture on “Syria's Tragedy, Our Lessons” on March 2, 2020 presented by David Miliband, former British Foreign Secretary and president and CEO of the International Rescue Committee organized by the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C.

APAC participated in the 3rd #FriendsofSingapore Film Screening on September 17, 2020 hosted by the Singapore Embassy in Ankara as the first physical event since the COVID-19 pandemic began! “The Girl in Pinafore” directed by Chai Yee Wei which premiered at the Shanghai International Film Festival in 2013 was screened in the event.
